With proper care, they will last for many years. |
| Dishwasher safe? | Not recommended – the wild clay decoration may be damaged. |
| Microwave safe? | Not recommended – clay is a highly conductive material and the piece will become very hot to the touch. |
| Handmade nature | Each item is handmade and shows the marks of this process, including intentional “imperfections.” The products pictured reflect the overall shape, size and color of the piece. However, each item is unique, with differences in glaze, texture and slight variations in size, shape and capacity. Colors may also appear differently depending on lighting conditions and your screen. Dimensional variations can be up to ~1cm, capacity ~50ml, and weight ~50g. |
Kurinuki Cup Nº11

Unlike other pottery techniques, kurinuki begins with a solid block of clay. Each cup is slowly carved from a single mass of stoneware, allowing the form to emerge through subtraction rather than addition. This intuitive process creates textured, sculptural surfaces and organic asymmetry, as the material and hands guide its character. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Crafted from light beige stoneware, the exterior remains unglazed, carefully burnished (polished) to ensure comfortable use while preserving its raw character. With regular use, the exterior gradually becomes even softer to the touch. The painted surface is enriched with accents of locally collected wild clay and sand. The interior and rim are finished with a clear glaze.
Each cup is individually numbered within the limited Nº11 series.
Not recommended to use in a dishwasher – the wild clay decoration may be damaged. Do not use harsh metal sponges for cleaning.
