Shipping Policy

How long your order takes to prepare

As a small artist-run studio located outside the city, 2–5 business days are needed to prepare and ship each order with proper care. Processing times may be longer during holidays, busy periods or personal time off. For urgent requests or questions, contact studioondou@gmail.com before making your purchase

Shipping within Lithuania

Two convenient, insured, tracked shipping options are available at the check-out:

– LT Express (Lietuvos paštas) Parcel Locker

– Lithuanian Post (Lietuvos paštas) Courier Delivery to your door or post office.

Once shipped, your package will reach you within 1–4 days.

Local pickup in Palanga

Local pickup is free and available at an agreed location in the Palanga area, Lithuania, arranged via email. Please select the Local Pickup option at checkout, and you will be contacted with the details. If you’re in Palanga for a short time and need an urgent pickup, please reach out before purchasing, as Ondou can’t guarantee immediate availability. As a one-person studio, occasional time off is part of the rhythm here, and the private studio is located outside Palanga town — meaning drop-ins aren’t possible.

International shipping across the European Union

Once shipped, delivery to European Union countries usually takes 3–10 days. This can usually take longer around December holidays, so keep in mind if you are purchasing for gifts. You will receive a tracking number to follow your order.

Ondou ships with Lithuanian Post (Lietuvos paštas).

International shipping costs and carrier services

Shipping fees are calculated by weight of the order, which can make shipping ceramics quite costly. Breakable pieces require generous cushioning and protective materials, so packages may appear larger than expected. This careful packing ensures safe delivery, but also takes additional resources.

Ondou ships with Lietuvos Paštas (Lithuanian Post) by choice, as it is the most affordable and reliable option for sending delicate work from Lithuania, and it operates closest to the studio. Once the parcel reaches your country, it is typically handed over to your national postal carrier (depending on national postal agreements).

If you prefer a different shipping carrier, feel free to reach out by email before purchasing — courier options such as DHL, DPD, GLS, Fedex, and others can be arranged. Please note that their rates are usually significantly higher, and arranging these services require additional time, because the studio don’t work with them on a regular basis.

International shipping outside European Union

At the moment, the Ondou online shop does not offer direct checkout for shipping to non-EU countries. However, international orders are still possible — simply get in touch via email, and shipping costs can be calculated manually. When reaching out, please include the product you wish to purchase and your shipping address, so an approximate quote can be provided. If you decide to proceed, the package will be carefully packed and weighed, and an exact quote — along with an invoice for both the product and shipping — will be sent. Once the invoice is paid via bank transfer, the package will be shipped.

Delivery times vary depending on the destination.

Taxes and custom fees

For customers outside the European Union, please note that you will be responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, or customs fees upon delivery. These additional costs vary by country and are not included in the product or shipping cost.

International shipping insurance

We ship with partly insurance, meaning Lithuanian Post insurance policy covers the costs if the package is lost. Unfortunately, Lithuanian post insurance policy does not cover all cases if the product arrived damaged therefore we can’t guarantee the refund in all cases. We try to pack as safe as possible, and so far all packages arrived safely. For more information, please see the Refund Policy.

Parcel packaging

Ceramics need generous packaging to travel safely, so orders may arrive in boxes that look larger than expected. Extra cushioning and protective materials are used to keep each piece secure in transit. Whenever available around the studio, recycled or repurposed materials are used to reduce waste. These materials may not look fancy, but they protect the ceramics well and help keep shipping more sustainable. If you can, feel free to give the packaging another life too.
