| Product care | Ondou pieces are crafted as functional art objects. While made from high-fired stoneware fired to 1220 °C — which makes them highly durable and resistant to everyday wear — they are still ceramic and can break if dropped or subjected to strong impact. With proper care, they will last for many years. |
| Dishwasher use | Yes, but hand-washing is recommended. Dishwashers and harsh detergents won't break the item itself, but they can gradually soften or wear down the decoration and alter its original finish. Use at your own discretion. |
| Microwave use | Not recommended – clay is a highly conductive material and the piece will become very hot to the touch. |
| Handmade nature | Each item is handmade and shows the marks of this process, including intentional “imperfections.” The products pictured reflect the overall shape, size and color of the piece. However, each item is unique, with differences in glaze, texture and slight variations in size, shape and capacity. Colors may also appear differently depending on lighting conditions and your screen. Dimensional variations can be up to ~1cm, capacity ~50ml, and weight ~50g. |

Deeply carved from anthracite black high-fired stoneware and left partly unglazed to preserve the raw feel of the clay, it features a sculptural silhouette with a matte cream glaze on the interior and rim.
Unlike other pottery techniques, kurinuki begins with a solid block of clay. Each cup is slowly carved from a single mass of anthracite black stoneware, allowing the form to emerge through subtraction rather than addition. This intuitive process creates textured, sculptural surfaces and organic asymmetry, as the material and hands guide its character. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Each cup is individually numbered within the limited Nº18 series.
